Robert K. Kaplan
Robert K. Kaplan founded IGI in 2001 to promote and manage the business development interests of companies seeking growth in international markets, particularly in Central and Eastern Europe, the Americas and India.
Mr. Kaplan has more than 30 years of professional experience in international business development, marketing communications and government relations. He served in the Office of International Affairs for the Mayor of New York and held various senior positions at Philip Morris International. Clients have included Bacardi USA, Bell Helicopter, Heineken USA, Japanese Chamber of Commerce, Pratt & Whitney, Sikorsky Aircraft/Lockheed Martin, Skidmore Owings & Merrill Architects, IFG Capital Management, Saracakis Automotive Group, Tata Sons and Tata Advanced Systems Ltd.
He served on the Advisory Board of Technoserve, an NGO providing sustainable economic development strategies to rural communities in Latin America and Africa. He has also been an Advisor to the International Health Organization working in the Indian Subcontinent and to The Do School, based in Berlin, Germany.
Mr. Kaplan received his Masters Degree in International Affairs from Columbia University and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Wesleyan University in the USA. He is married and has three children.
